Clinic was a very quick visit today. Her counts were on the low side which is expected but she didn't get any transfusions. Her hemoglobin was 8.8, WBC 0.9 and platelets were 24. We go back Friday to check counts again and if they are close to where they need to be for admission on Monday then we will go back Monday but f they are not then she will get an extra week off. As far as her lower back being swollen, the doctor is not sure what is causing the swelling but she is not too concerned. It may be a side effect of the chemo. This is the plan after she gets her last chemo cycle. All scans will be scheduled and as long as it shows clear, which is what the doctor anticipates then surgery will be scheduled to have the port removed and for her final bone marrow biopsy. Her ovaries are still up where the doctor moved them for he initial radiation so they may be pulling them down also if need be for the final radiation. Then she will start radiation 3 weeks after final chemo and she will be able to go to school as long as her counts stay at good levels. Well that's about it until Friday. Hoping and praying her counts will be where they need to be so she can get this last cycle done and over with. Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts. Faith, Hope and Encouragement!
