We had a great weekend. We spent Saturday in the city. We went to see the Christmas Spectacular with our family and spent the day down there. Took the kids to FAO Schwartz and St. Patrick's Cathedral. We had dinner down there and hen came home to have cake for Benjamin's bday. Today wasn't such a great day but could definitely be worse. We had to go to Columbia for our first "sick visit". Dariana developed a rash on her wrist and since its within the first 6 months post treatment we can't just go to the pediatrician. We have to call our oncologist and thy decide whether or not we have to go to them or if its ok to go to the pediatrician. Since Dariana has already had shingles they were concerned it may have returned. So first she had to go to the dentist to get a tooth pulled and then down to Columbia. She winded up having a rash caused by a virus but is not contagious unless the rash opens up. This is the first of, I'm sure, many emergency visits. I was proud of myself because I didn't over react or anything. Get took her bloods since we were supposed to go next week anyway. Overall her counts are good. Platelets dropped again but the doc feels it is still reacting to he radiation. She is not concerned and said it should start recovering now. We go back in a month for bloods again and towards he end of January she should be due for scans again. We have a follow up for radiation in 2 weeks and a lot of doc visits in between for other things. Dariana is doing well. Physical therapy is helping so much. She goes to Millbrook PT in hopewell and they are wonderful. I would recommend them to anyway who may need pt in the future. My mom is home and doing okay. Breaks my heart to see her so sick. She doesn't deserve any of this, she truly is an amazing woman and has done anything she could for people her whole life. Just praying she will get better. I am fully aware she will not make a full recovery but there are hopes she will get better than she is right now. Please continues to keep Dariana and my mom in your prayers. It has been your support and prayers that has taken us to this point. Love to all of you! Faith, Hope and Encouragement!
