Hi everyone! It's been a while, which is a good thing. Today a year ago was Friday April 12th. It was a day we were so anxiously waited for. We would get the results from Dariana's first set of scans following her 1st 3 treatments. She had her bone and CT scan the Wednesday before and the PET scan Thursday and Friday was her surgery to relocate her ovaries in preparation for her radiation treatments. I can remember the anxiety and feeling so overwhelmed as we sat there thru every test, watching the faces of all the techs taking the cans so that we can try to get an idea of what they were seeing. Then right before Dariana was going to go into surgery, Chanah, one of our doctors, came in to tell us great news that the tumor shrunk half the size it was and the metastasized locations were no longer visible... It was one if the best feelings ever. It's hard to believe that was a year ago. One week from today Dariana will be having her 6 months post treatment CT scan and PET scan. We are praying we will hear all good news again. She has been doing really good . Physical therapy has been doing wonder for her pain and movement in her shoulders. She has really put last year in the past and has moved on to live her life. I am so happy for her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for next week scans. Thank you!! Hope, Faith and Encouragement!
