Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted.... It's been a very busy summer so far, which is good, that means we are healthy and enjoying each day. Dariana was in Greece for 25 days, I missed her like crazy but she deserved to get away and have a wonderful experience. We are very thankful to Sophia Amperiadis and her family for taking such good care of her and accepting her in to their home. She came home on a Friday and the next day we left to Florida for a week. Thank you to the McElroy family (the Ryan McElroy foundation) and to Marina putting this trip together for us and allowing us to escape from everything in NY and just relax as a family. They have been truly amazing with all they have done for Dariana and the family.Dariana is now volunteering at vassar hospital 3 days a week four hours a day. She is primarily working on the oncology floor but gets moved around to other floors. It is a great experience for her, she has decided she wants to become a nurse practitioner for pediatric oncology. She is already looking into which school will get her the best education and experience. She has been feeling really well and has been just doing what normal teens do. She is driving now, growing up way too fast! I am just happy that she has come so far from where she was a year ago and we pray she continues on this path. It is hard to believe but August 30 will be year from when we walked out of the hospital from her last round of chemo and never looked back. September 2 will be her next set of scans so we are getting a little scanxiety but that will never change. She hasn't had any complaints beside the normal soreness from the scar tissue. So are are keeping our fingers crossed that means clear scans! I am hoping to do a toy drive for the children at Columbia hospital for Christmas. I will post details in the near future about it! Thank you for all of your continued support and prayers! Hope, Faith and Encouragement!
